Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. The Seller

The venuspalestine.com online shop is operated by Amani ABUTAIMA, sole trader (EI), trading as Venus Palestine, [professional address], France. SIRET: [X]. Email: info@venuspalestine.com. Full details are given in our Legal Notice.

2. Scope

These Terms apply to all purchases made by consumers on venuspalestine.com. The version in force on the date of your order applies. You accept these Terms by ticking the box provided before placing your order.

3. Our Products

Each product page describes the main characteristics of the piece, including its origin:

  • Made in Gaza: pieces hand-embroidered by Palestinian women artisans in Gaza.
  • Inspired by Palestine: pieces designed around Palestinian symbols, not made in Gaza.
  • Personalised for You: pieces engraved to order in France.

Handmade and engraved pieces may show slight variations that make each one unique. Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen. Offers are valid while stock lasts.

4. Prices

Prices are shown in euros (€), all taxes included. [VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.] Shipping costs are added according to your destination and shown before you confirm your order. For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties and import taxes are paid by the recipient. The price that applies is the one displayed when you place your order.

5. Placing an Order

To order: choose your pieces (and your personalisation, if any), review your cart, enter your delivery details, check the order summary and total price, accept these Terms, then click “Place order and pay”. This click means your order involves an obligation to pay. Your order is confirmed by email, which you should keep.

For personalised pieces, please check the spelling of your text carefully: we engrave it exactly as entered.

We may refuse an order in case of suspected fraud or an unresolved dispute about a previous order. We keep a record of orders of €120 or more for 10 years, which you may access on request.

6. Payment

Payment is made at the time of order by bank card (via Stripe) or PayPal. Payments are encrypted and processed by these providers. We never see or store your full card details.

7. Delivery

Delivery areas, costs and times are explained in our Shipping & Delivery page. Unless another date is indicated, your order is delivered no later than 30 days after it is placed. You bear the risk of loss or damage only once you, or a person you have chosen, physically receive the parcel.

8. Right of Withdrawal

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to withdraw, without giving any reason. Personalised and made-to-order pieces are excluded (Article L221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code). You can withdraw online through our withdrawal form. Details and the model form are on our Returns & Refunds page.

9. Legal Guarantees

The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity in the event of a lack of conformity. During this period, the consumer only has to establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date it appeared.

The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to repair or replacement of the goods within thirty days of the request, free of charge and without major inconvenience. Repair under this guarantee extends it by six months. If the consumer requests repair but the seller chooses replacement, the guarantee restarts for two years from replacement.

The consumer may obtain a price reduction by keeping the goods, or cancel the contract with a full refund against return of the goods, if: the seller refuses to repair or replace the goods; repair or replacement takes more than thirty days; repair or replacement causes a major inconvenience; or the lack of conformity persists despite the seller’s attempt to remedy it. The consumer may also obtain a price reduction or cancellation without first asking for repair or replacement if the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies this. The contract cannot be cancelled if the lack of conformity is minor.

These rights are governed by Articles L217-1 to L217-32 of the French Consumer Code. A seller who obstructs the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity in bad faith is liable to a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L241-5).

The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code) for two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee gives the right to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or a full refund against their return.

10. Intellectual Property

Tatreez motifs belong to the shared heritage of the Palestinian people. Our own designs, photographs, texts and logo are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code and may not be reproduced without our written permission.

11. Printed Collection on Redbubble

Some printed designs are sold through our Redbubble shop. Those purchases are made directly with Redbubble and are governed by Redbubble’s own terms.

12. Personal Data

We process your data only to manage your order and our relationship with you. See our Privacy Policy.

13. Complaints, Mediation and Applicable Law

For any complaint, please contact us first at info@venuspalestine.com. We will do our best to find a solution with you.

If no solution is found, you may refer the matter free of charge to our consumer mediator: [Mediator name, website, postal address] (Articles L612-1 and following of the French Consumer Code).

These Terms are governed by French law. This does not deprive consumers living in another country of the protection of the mandatory rules of their own country. Any dispute may be brought before the competent court, including the court of the consumer’s place of residence.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. The version that applies is the one in force on the date of your order.
